"Thanks so much......for being my friends". In my humble opinion this might be one of Adam Sandlers best works specially earlier he embarked on his yard picture Netflix contract. We have here a simple story. Adam Sandler plays a young man with (we assume although not directly referenced) Aspergers who has an obsession with the proper maintenance and distribution of H2o to college football athletes. All seems lost when he is inexplicably fired and is forced to begin a voyage of discovery as he is proceeds to take on a new job as Waterboy for a rival football team coached by the exceedingly excellent Henry Winkler. As with most Adam Sandler movies delight check the brain at the door and don't take anything likewise seriously. If you tin hold with those pre-requisites at that place is a lot to enjoy here. As said, Winkler shines hither equally the beat of a man Charabanc Kline haunted by his by and Cathy Bates is excellent equally the over protective mother sheltering Bobby from the hostilities of the existent world. The motion-picture show is endlessly quotable and many things have continued to sustain a penetrance into the pop culture vernacular, "You can practice it!" comes to mind. Roy Schneider and Clint Howard besides pop in for their scene stealing cameos equally in most Sandler movies. Overall, the Waterboy stands the test of time and brought a smile to my face many years later get-go watching it with my Dad as we both laughed maniacally all those years agone. If I had a criticism, if anything, the narrative could accept been slightly improve strung together and might have benefitted from a slightly longer run time to brand things a footling more cohesive. As a commentary on the treatment of those with Aspergers, probably best not to retrieve too hard most it. However, the laughs are plentiful and Sandlers performance gets you thoroughly invested in the plights of this troubled individual who is often the target for the big bullies with which he must work. A heart warming comedy that no doubt I volition return to again and again. "Now that's what I call loftier quality H20".

This Touchstone pictures release stars Adam Sandler as a social outcast with a stutter that uses his anger bug to get a higher football game star. This picture show was written by Adam Sandler for Adam Sandler, then his style of sense of humor is all over the place. That kind of humor works for me some of the time and this film is ane of those times. The performances are great, especially Kathy Bates who plays Sandler's character'south mother. This movie has many quotable lines that makes it rewatchable. If you like Adam Sandler, then this motion-picture show is worth your time.

Only watched this movie once more with my son after about 10 years. It is funnier now than ever earlier. The critics are insane. It is funny and has some very entertaining football scenes.

Its funny stuff. Adept light hearted movie with empty-headed slapstick comedy and wacky random encounters. Lots of characters - typical Sandler pic tropes. Just enough evolution for the main character to keep the audition interested. Ane of Sandlers all-time.
